Cristobal Balenciaga created a variety of garments applying the one piece of cloth concept and is famous for his abstract and voluminous designs. In this class you may choose from a variety of designs based on the “one seam” concept for which he is famous. This class is not about finishing a coat in fashion fabric, but rather learning the details to properly execute the coat on your own time. The first part of the class will be executing the muslin and discussing fabric options, and the second part will be mini-lessons in applying interfacing and other finishing details. Please note this class will be held in a historic building in downtown Franklin, on the second floor. You will have to climb stairs as there is no elevator access to the second floor.
