Garment Execution and Fit
July 31 @ 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
This is an opportunity to get help with the fit of your garment. Students will bring the garment (or muslin) that they have basted or sewn by machine, and we will evaluate the fit. It is also a time to address interfacing and lining applications, learn certain permanent couture hand stitches and pressing techniques that will elevate the finished garment. Students will need to bring their already constructed/basted garment or muslin, as well as pins, safety pins, thread and hand sewing needles. Please do not bring your sewing machine. There will be one available if you need it. In the last thirty minutes, I will demonstrate hand sewing and couture techniques that are applicable to the class.
The class is on the second floor of a historic building in downtown Franklin. There is no elevator access, only stairs.
